Program Description
Event Details
Beginning and intermediate chess enthusiasts are invited to join us once again this summer at Coolidge for classes with Christopher Giannaras every Tuesday from 1pm-2pm beginning June 20th.
This class series is open to all ages (3rd grade and up), with a cap of 12 students. Registration is required. Since space is limited, please sign up only for the sessions you are planning to attend. If you would like to attend all eight sessions, you will need to register for each session individually. If you have registered for a session but cannot attend, please cancel your registration so that others on the waitlist may attend. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Classes will be held Tuesdays 6/20, 6/27, 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1, 8/8, and 8/15. Note that there is no class on 7/4.
In the case of rainy weather, the sessions will be held in the hallway inside the Coolidge building.
Christopher Giannaras has been playing chess tournaments since elementary school and has achieved the rank of Expert with a USCF rating of over 2000. He is a recent graduate of Liberty High School where he was the captain of the LHS chess team. He has competed against numerous National and International Masters. Chris has a passion for teaching chess to others, and his classes are very popular. Join us!
