Event Details
Savvy Caregiver programs aim to help those providing care for loved ones living with dementia through relevant knowledge, skills, and self-care practices. These programs have been proven to decrease family caregiver distress, burden and depression, while increasing caregiver's sense of competence and confidence in their care role. Here, you will have a chance to meet others in the same position, engage in conversation, and share your experiences. This workshop is intended to not only teach those in caregiver roles, but also to bring people together to foster connectedness in community places like public libraries.
This 6-week program is sponsored by The Fleming Foundation in partnership with the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley. This training program will be delivered in two-hour sessions over a six-week period. By registering for the program, you are committing to attend six classes. Workbooks and a light lunch will be provided.
