How Does a Cell Phone Work?!

How does a cell phone work?  What is the Science/Technology behind it?

How does this “magic” instrument work? You might be surprised to learn that, fundamentally, it is a wireless “two-way radio”!  But how is it possible that you can communicate with anyone hundreds of miles away as if they were next to you? Or how is it possible that you can download long documents almost instantaneously?  Finally, how is it possible that thousands of people can simultaneously communicate, without their conversations or data transfers interfering with one another?  In this presentation, we will examine the science and technology behind the remarkable properties of our cell phones.
