Please join us for an intimate and lively discussion of select memoirs throughout the year.
At just 22 years of age, Suleika receives the shattering diagnosis of leukemia. She would spend much of the next four years in a hospital bed, fighting for her life and chronicling the saga in a column for The New York Times. She may have survived the chemo, but feels like she doesn't know how to live. So with her dog Oscar, she embarks on a 100-day, 15,000-mile road trip across the country. What she learns on this trip is that the divide between sick and well is porous, that the vast majority of us will travel back and forth between these realms throughout our lives.
Registration for the discussion is encouraged but not required.
