Week Calendar

Enjoy time with your little one while developing the essential skills of sharing, taking turns, being silly, and having fun! Playtime at the South Side Branch has a selection of rotating STEM, dramatic, and open play stations.  

Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to join us each Wednesday morning for songs, stories and hands-on learning.

Come build with us. Children ages 2 and up are invited to build and create with our excellent collection of preschool blocks and building toys. No registration is required.

Young children ages 2 - 5 will enjoy themed storytimes featuring picture books, puppets, childhood rhymes, songs, and a simple craft.

It's that time of year again when families come together from all different places and spend cherished time in our lives and homes.

Join us for an awesome Toy Bingo! We'll play bingo games and do some toy-related crafts throughout the morning. The best part--all bingo winners will get to pick out a toy to take home and keep FOREVER!

A memoir is a form of creative nonfiction in which the author recounts experiences from his or her own life.

Come hear the poem of the week! Every Tuesday at Books on the Hill a new poem is selected and recited by performance poet/library staff Cleveland Wall.  No registration necessary--this is a drop-in event.

Meet Mark Iampietro, author of Liberty High School: 100 Years...100 Notable Graduates. Books will be available to be signed and purchased. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Bethlehem Area Public Library.

Test your yuletide knowledge against other Christmas fans in a battle of wits and memory the likes of which the Christmas City hasn't experienced since Count Zinzendorf played the dozens with Ben Franklin. Teams of four or fewer can play.

Complete community service hours while also having a voice in the library! Help plan and prep for upcoming teen and family events.

Join us for an open mic hosted by Bill Medei!! Come enjoy listening to music, comedy, and poetry acts or sign up to perform yourself! Performers, please arrive around 5PM to sign-up.

The YMCA will be preparing and delivering meals to eat at the library for adults 18+. These dinners will be available while supplies last.

BAPL is hosting a series of Writers' Workshops on Wednesday evenings this winter! This group is open to anyone who writes in any genre, from novels to cover letters to essays.
