Event Details
Inspired by the colors, patterns, shadows, and feel of nature, artist Alma Thomas used vibrant brushstrokes, circles, stripes, dashes and dabs to express how nature made her heart sing and dance, creating a new style of artistic expression in the 1960's. We will read the picture book biography Ablaze with Color: A Story of Painter Alma Thomas, and using similar painting techniques, make our own joyful expression of colorful art.
