Program Description

Event Details

From the wooden toys of the Colonial Era to the hard plastic toys of the present day, the materials that make up our favorite playthings have changed a lot. On Tuesday, December 6, join HBMS Curator of Collections and Exhibitions Brett Peters for a hands-on investigation of the evolution of toys through time, with a special focus on the history of wood, porcelain, celluloid, cast iron, and tin toys!

Don’t forget to visit our newest exhibition, From Marbles to Make Believe: Let’s Play! on view at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts and Moravian Museum of Bethlehem beginning October 8th!
