Event Details
Are you passionate about the natural world? Do you have an interest in writing? Inspired by the All We Can Save: Learning and Living in a Time of Climate Crisis book group that took place this past summer, we've organized this group in order to explore similar topics while growing as writers!
In this meeting we will:
- Introduce ourselves
- Introduce our first theme: place
- Participate in a freewriting activity focused on describing places
- Discuss excerpts from both Love Canal: My Story by Lois Gibbs and The Way to Rainy Mountain by N. Scott Momaday
- Introduce the writing prompt that we will share with each other at the next meeting (describe a natural place that has some significance to you)
Readings for this meeting can be found here. If you have any trouble accessing the files or have any questions, please contact Christine at cwieder@bapl.org
Zoom links will be sent out the morning of the meeting
