Inspired by true stories the author was told by his grandmother, this new picture book highlights a young boy's determination to win his school's Spanish Spelling Bee. Together with his abuela, he learns the importance of family and cultural pride. Join us at the Coolidge Branch location for a warm retelling of this story, followed by related extension activities. This book is geared toward children in kindergarten through third grade.
