Join Carmela from The Cultured Club at the Coolidge Library Branch on Wednesday, July 31st, from 6-7pm for an exciting introduction to fermentation.

In this engaging session, Carmela will cover the fundamentals of fermentation, answering questions such as, "What is fermentation?", "How do you ferment foods?" and "What are the nutritional benefits of live-culture ferments?" As part of her presentation, Carmela will demonstrate how to make a simple yet delicious fermented sauerkraut. Did you know that lacto-fermentation doesn't require any fancy equipment? Just a jar. 'Bring a jar or Take a Jar' to help get everyone started. This event is free to attend and promises to be a treat for anyone curious about fermentation.
